Our USDA Certified Organic Farm

Our farming process is definitely our pride and joy and is also what distinguishes us from most other CBD companies. We are one of the few manufacturers that can say we are vertically integrated which gives us high quality control. Our entire process of production is controlled and overseen by our owners and done in house. From seed to feed: We know what’s in our soil and fertilizers, we grow our own Colorado outdoor hemp, we hand harvest, extract on site, and bottle in the same place.

Knowing the source is what can guarantee the quality of our products. Having a personal relationship with the farmers, volunteering at the harvest season and understanding their mission is what made us part of the CBD movement. Unlike many companies that rely on sourcing the most competitive price and compromising quality, we never have to worry about outsourcing our hemp it’s local, it’s organic and manually selected. Rest assured that you can always count on our products to be, consistent, exceptionally pure, and totally affordable!

Our Farm is located in Fort Collins, Colorado. It is open to the public but only if you plan on getting your hands dirty! You can be part of the day to day tasks that need done on the farm, from weed pulling, transplanting, or watering and caring for the plants.

The volunteers donate their time in exchange for CBD oil from the farm. This cultivates an incredible sense of community where likeminded people come together to help grow some of nature’s greatest natural medicine. When talking with the cooperative manager and farmer, Iginia, she will often joke that she never knows if people come for the CBD oil, the communal organic lunch, or good conversation. We are grateful to have such a wonderful source and grow such incredible plants to provide our customers with pure and potent products for pets and humans alike!

Our Farmer: Iginia “The Bear”

When we say our organization is family owned we mean that the co-founder and senior farmer at Fat Pig Society Iginia Boccalandro is our direct family. From former Olympian, to Rolfing and Aryuvidic coach, an advocate of sustainability and with over a decade farming hemp and multiple other crops; Iginia is definitely qualified to deliver the highest purity hemp oil for pets and people.

While in Colorado they take care of the quality control from the leaf, to the hemp flower to our oil.  We want to be a channel of information and help thousands of households with the health benefits of CBD oil.

FAQ

CBD or Cannabidiol is a naturally-occurring, non-psychoactive phytocannabinoid that occurs in hemp. By encouraging phytocannabinoids to bind to the receptors in our body, we can assist in regulating functions in a natural way.

We get our lab-analyzed Cannabidiol extract from our farm in Fort Collins Colorado. By cultivating a close relationship with our partners at the Fat Pig Society Coop, we can follow our products from farm to your hands. This ensures exceptional purity in each and every item that we offer.

The least processed form of the cannabis plant is hemp, which contains most of the CBD that people use medicinally. Hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, Cannabis sativa, but the two are very different, due to the opposite THC concentrations.

Our CBD is grown and extracted at our Colorado based farm. Throughout the years, we’ve organically and systematically bred our plants to achieve crops with the highest concentration of CBD.

By large, the acceptance and use of CBD as a therapeutic, healing substance is in its infancy. Scientists are only now beginning to develop dosing schedules for medical marijuana, hemp, and their extracts (including CBD).

Even with the current wave of states legalizing, many physicians are hesitant to prescribe cannabinoids like CBD. This is for two reasons:

  1. Doctors cannot prescribe (only suggest) cannabinoids, there’s no recommended daily allowance (RDA) or universal dose.
  2. Most medical schools never cover CBD/cannabidiol therapy in their pharmacology courses, (the drug curriculum revolves primarily around substances that can be patented).

Dosing is not an exact science; it depends on many factors. Because there is no recommended dose, the information presented on this page is intended to serve only as an informational guide – a starting point of reference – and should never be considered medical advice.

When it comes to cannabinoids, there is one universal truth to keep in mind: everyone is different. There are countless variables such as weight, diet, metabolism, genetics, environment, product consistency, and more that make a universally prescribed dosage an impossibility.

While we wish we could provide the public with a mathematical CBD dosage calculator, it isn’t quite that simple – very rough estimates are about as good as it gets. With these facts in mind, most people who are new to cannabidiol begin their journey by starting with the minimal suggested CBD dosage on any product, then gradually increasing the dose until they achieve the desired results.
The serving standard is ½ a teaspoon orally. In case of bruising or joint pain, the same amount can be used topically.

FOR ANIMAL CONSUMPTION

Pain relief is definitely of the most celebrated health benefits of CBD oil is its analgesic (pain relieving) effects. Research has also shown that CBD has powerful anti-seizure properties, combats anxiety, improves sleep and some people even suggests it might reduce the risk of diabetes and even fight cancer.

Yes, of course!

As long as the percentage of THC in an extract is under 0.3%, then it is classified as Hemp Oil and can be sold, shipped, and ingested as a dietary supplement in all 50 states. None of the products we offer have any psycho-active effects and will produce no “high”. All of our products are lab tested to ensure complacent levels of practically no THC as well as guaranteeing the levels of CBD advertised are really present.

Over the years, marijuana farmers have selectively bred their plants to contain high levels of THC and other compounds that interested them, often because the compounds produced a smell or had another effect on the plant’s flowers. The same happens with hemp, using nature’s selection along with human supervision, we have bred our plants to have the highest concentration of CBD with the highest degree of purity.

Other companies advertise and display milligrams of cannabinoids present not necessarily milligrams of Cannabidiol (CBD). While it is true that a full spectrum of cannabinoids is beneficial working in synergy with each other, this can often just mean there is less CBD actually present than they are trying to make you believe.

Our goal at Sunday at the Beach is to offer value. We aim to provide a top of the line product at a competitive price. Our vertical integration, working directly with the organic CBD grower, allows us to offer quality without compromising purity.

All of our products will deliver organic yummy phytocannabinoid rich CBD goodness to your pet! The mean of transportation, either biscuit or tincture, is solely up to you! The biscuits are great for ease of delivery, and the tincture is great for a more specific and controlled dose. In our opinion, the biscuits may be used to promote overall health and wellness in generally healthy and young dogs. A biscuit a day keeps the vet away! While the drops are more cost effective for larger doses. The choice is always yours, but if your having a hard time making a decision, there’s no harm in trying both!
